Chicago Breast Cancer Awareness to Action Health Summit
Clips of In the Family, including Martha's story and Olga's story, will screen on August 15, 2009 as part of Chicago's Breast Cancer Awareness to Action Health Summit. The Summit will help over 200 uninsured and underinsured women on the South Side of Chicago receive breast cancer health education, schedule mammograms, and receive assistance with their health care needs.
Guests scheduled to speak at the Summit include Senator Mattie Hunter; Sun-Times columnist and breast cancer survivor, Mary Mitchell; Breast Cancer Survivor, Angela Walker; Dr. Janice Phillips from the Board of Directors at Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Chicago and Dr. Monica Peek, of the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force.
